The Marcell Lodge is on Ranier Lake and is a recently restored large 4 bedroom log cabin that sleeps 8; it is on the National Register of Historic Places yet has all the modern conveniences for a great stay. This elegant, unique and beautiful cabin has a full kitchen, air conditioning, 3 levels, large indoor porch, swimming area, private dock, 2 bathrooms, laundry machines, and a nice living room. The Lodge is in a private setting but is located on the site of the Edge of the Wilderness Discovery Center so you are in close walking distance from a picnic shelter, interpretive trail, other historic buildings, a fishing pier, outdoor amphitheater, and the Discovery Center itself which includes modern interpretive displays, a gift shop, and environmental education programs throughout the summer. The Marcell Lodge also connects to the sidewalk system which leads to various businesses in Marcell and the Marcell Recreation Area which has a playground, tennis courts, and a paved trail.
