Five hand-crafted log cabins well-spaced along the shore of Minnesota’s clearest lake. Located north of Grand Rapids, Minnesota on the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway. The route weaves between hills, lakes, and a diverse forest. The first lake north of the Laurentian divide is crystal clear Caribou lake. The jewel in the crown of Itasca county which is home to 1000 lakes.
This special place is nestled in the woods with fishing, swimming, hiking, right out your door. Relax, play, make memories, and start a tradition. Our 3 beautifully hand-crafted, highly secluded Large Log cabins include Fieldstone fireplaces, well equip kitchens, private sauna, private dock, yard, and deck.  Each with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and bunk area.  Or for a smaller group stay in our tiny log Cabin for up to 2 people, or our one bedroom loggers cabin for up to 4 or 5 people.

Located in the Chippewa National Forest, this little gem is the perfect hideaway for your next getaway. Caribou lake is spring-fed and the first lake in the watershed to flow north to the Hudson Bay. With depths of 160 feet deep and its hard sand bottom, Caribou lake has a visibility of up to 40 feet. It’s been noted at the clearest lake in the state of Minnesota and hosts Lake Trout, Bass, Huge Northern Pike, and pan fish.  And don’t bring bottled water, bring jugs to fill and bring home with you.  It’s the best water on earth. Open May to September.
