The Edge of the Wilderness Resort Area is located in Northern Minnesota inside the Chippewa National Forest.  It is part of the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway, a 47 mile drive along breathtaking scenery and interesting historical areas from Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Effie, MN.  The Edge of the Wilderness is located approximately 4 hours from Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.
